I’m working on it – still! It’s one of those projects that I love to hate. Should be couple more weeks. I’ll send you the pattern for free when it’s finished (your website has your email address, so I’ll send it there). OK?

What a sweet thing to say! Thank you! I would love to send you a coupon, if you’d like, Zuzzan; I just need your email address! (It appears you commented without typing in your email address). Send me a quick message at jakigumail {at} gmail {dot} com; and the coupon will be on its way in no time.

I’m in love with Jute and Cotton as well. I stocked up over the weekend and will be purchasing the patterns for both of the round stacking baskets tonight. I’ve only been crocheting a short time. Do you think they will be okay for a beginner?

    1. Jana says:

The whole design is made in the three of the most basic crochet stitches: chain stitch, slip stitch, and a single crochet. That’s it. If you are confident working these three stitches, you shouldn’t run into any issues – technically. I must warn you (and that’s why I officially do not recommend this pattern for beginners – though I’d never try to talk you out of trying) – especially the first few rounds of the jute bottom, which is basically how you will begin, can be quite tricky to work as you are working with thick cord and a crochet hook that is a little smaller than what should be used for that cord thickness. The pattern includes tips on how to get through these first rounds – all you need is a little patience until you figure that jute out. It doesn’t take long 🙂 Happy crocheting!!!

Have been wanting to try a basket and love the look of the jute and cotton. Where do I buy the patterns for the round baskets?

    1. Jana says:

All my patterns are available in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/JaKiGu
Hope to see you there soon!

Hi! I love your stuff! Are you still working on the square basket tutorial? I didn’t see it in your Etsy shop. Thanks!

  11. Sarah Looff says:

These are beautiful I was wondering if you’ve ever made a lid for the baskets? I’m thinking about using these as a gift box and putting the rest of the gift inside, so a lid might be nice :).

    1. Jana says:

What a great idea! I haven’t made lids but have certainly thought about it. Let me know how they turn out if you go for it!
