Crochet Picture Frame Pattern Collection 2018

$9.00

This exclusive crochet picture frame pattern collection introduces 12 individual crochet patterns in an instantly downloadable PDF format. There are 6 designs, each modified to fit both a 3-inch or a 2-inch metal ring. When you work all 12 patterns, you will end up with two complementary crochet picture frame sets in two different sizes.

For the ease of printing, I devoted a single page to each pattern. From illustrative photos, through the list of materials and stitches, to the written pattern and helpful notes that will point you to directly to the relevant photo tutorial pages, you will find everything you will need to create that particular design.

While the skill level for each individual crochet picture frame varies, I compiled this collection with a crochet beginner in mind. I wrote it for someone who has yarn, a hook, and a desire to create something beautiful from scratch – and who perhaps doesn’t know where to start. This crochet picture frame collection is an amazing place to start. Crochet picture frames are the ideal quick and easy crochet project that even a novice crocheter can complete in an afternoon. Grab it for yourself, or gift it to a crochet enthusiast dear to you. Smiles and joy are guaranteed.

Crochet Picture Frame Collection Details:

In addition to the 12 individual written patterns, the 29 pages of this logically organized PDF contain more than 120 pictures. They illustrate each step, each stitch, and each technique in great detail, along with precisely descriptive captions. I made sure the photos leave absolutely nothing out.

Skill Level:

Beginner/Intermediate

Materials Needed:

  • 2- and/or 3-inch metal rings (steel, brass, or similar – available in macrame supply section of craft stores)
  • Caron Simply Soft (or similar medium weight acrylic yarn) and 4.5 mm (size 7) hook -OR-
  • Sugar n’ Cream (or similar medium weight cotton yarn) and 4 mm hook (size G/6)
  • tapestry needle and scissors

I list pattern-specific quantities with each pattern. These crochet picture frame patterns represent an ideal stash-busting project. At most, an individual design will require 14 g (0.5 oz) of Caron Simply Soft or 17 g (0.6 oz) of Sugar n’ Cream.

Stitches Used:

Each pattern starts with a round of single crochet stitches worked around the metal ring base and joined with a slip stitch.

Depending on a pattern, other stitches used may include:

  • chain stitch
  • half double crochet
  • double crochet
  • triple crochet
  • front post single crochet
  • 3 (or 4) double crochets worked together (i.e. dc3tog or dc4tog)
  • picots

Each crochet picture frame is finished with an invisible join.

The second half of the pattern booklet contains step-by-step photos with detailed annotation for each of the above stitches, and more.
