crochet pattern: simple picture frame

Posted by:

I wanted to make these for a long, long time.

Crochet picture frames can be customized to fit any decor, they store well when not in use, they are washable and pretty much unbreakable – and they make wonderful, budget-friendly hostess gifts, or gifts for baby showers and house-warming parties. What’s more, they are ultra-easy and super-fast to make. A perfect afternoon project!

{Materials Needed}

Worsted weight yarn
4.5mm (US size 7) or 5mm (US size H or 8) hook

{Pattern Instructions}

The frame is worked in 4 rows. Simply join chain stitches to form a circle, and then work an adequate number of single crochets into the circle. Next, work a round of single and chain stitch combination. In the last round, work in an appropriate number of 5-double-crochet shells anchored by either a slip stitch or a single crochet.

A detailed pattern along with an idea on how to finish the frame and secure the art in place is now available in my online shop. Happy crocheting!
